Marketing an E-book

Now that you have completed your e-book, of course, it's not the end of processing line yet. You have to market your e-book now. This is the fun part. In doing this, your first stop is a pitch page. I bet it's called so because you have to use this to make your sales pitch heard to the world.
This is a single-page mini site where you put out information about your e-book. In this same page they can download your e-book. You really don't have to spend much on the hosting. There are hosting companies offering hosting for a mere $35 per year. It's important though that you maintain a professional image on your site, which means you are not allowed to publicize any personal information there.
On your pitch page, you provide links to other web sites you have and your affiliates'. You would have to participate in link exchange for this or purchase some.
You can also visit some forum sites that are related to your niche and use the link of your pitch page as the embedded link on the signature. This increases your e-book's visibility. In line with this, you can also contribute some articles in e-zines and leave the link to your e-book each time you do so. Another choice you have is to advertise your e-book in pay per click programs. They're not really that expensive. You only pay when someone clicks on your ads but you have maximum advertising exposure.
Another given option is to optimize your pitch page. Take care of the tags and keywords that will make Google and search engine notice you as a highly relevant site. This will place your pitch page on the top section of Google's search result page for your desired keywords.
There's also networking. May this be word of mouth or through social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, and MySpace where you can inform your friends and friends of your friends about your latest e-book.
Writing an e-book is quite fun but marketing it will give you a blast for as long as you know how to go about it.
