Marketing Secret Unleashed (Part 5)

Handheld devices can be utilized as a strong marketing tool. No person has yet to say he never received or used his mobile phone to advertise about a product or a service. It follows then that when you create any information or collateral for viral marketing, you can format it in a way that's compatible with handheld devices. There are several sites that offer you handheld formatted advertising for a couple of dollars.
Some of these sites are elance.com, guru.com, and scriptlance.com charge you with less than $50 for those formatted ads. These may be freebies like case reports, e-book, white paper, or a compilation of articles.
This is a small amount to pay for the huge traffic that this strategy can produce for your site. There are about 11 million users of handhelds only in the US alone. You can just imagine the viral traffic it can send to your site.
However, for starters, it's a different story. Reciprocal links may be easier said than done. It's done through emailing the webmaster of a high-ranking site, asking for link exchange. Those giant sites should have a major reason for them to link up with some starters. If it's not given for free and you know well that it will do good for your site, it won't hurt that much to bribe a little. Try to shoot an email to your webmaster friend and if he says no tell him you're paying him $100. I'm sure invites for link exchange will rain down on you.
This strategy works well with privately owned sites which are part of the top ten for the most targeted keywords in a specific niche. Linking with Times or Newsweek and Vogue may be out of the question but when you link with a site that ranks with the key phrase low-sugar diet fads when you're marketing an online shop for anti-diabetic products, it makes a lot of sense. You know well enough that you're better off doing this than paying $50 for PPC advertising.
