LED Lighting – Helps Save Power!

Generally, LED’s, or light-emitting diodes, produce more light per watt than incandescent bulbs. These bulbs also last 15 times longer than ordinary bulbs. They also consume less energy. LED’s are based on the semiconductor diode. When the diode is switched on, electrons recombine with holes and energy is released in the form of light. History About LED’s:

Over a period of time, it was introduced in America as a practical electronic component in 1962. The early devices emitted low-intensity red light. However, the modern LED’s have made it possible for a user to choose them in various colours. They are available across the visible, ultraviolet and infra red wavelengths, with very high brightness.
